I do know the year 2026 started a while back, but I just haven’t found the time and mental energy to write a new blogpost. So here is the first one of 2026, and hopefully many more will follow, but I’m not making any promisses. I just want to write as I feel like it, that may mean once a week, once a month, of very haphazard, just when I feel like writing.

Writing my WIP-list in my journal each month
The first month of 2026, January, was my last month as president of the Dutch MQG, the modern quilt guild here in the Netherlands. And as many may know, the last month of being in a board takes up so much time, there are so many last things you want to do, or you want to finish, or feel like you need to finish. But that’s now all behind me and after 5 amazing years, suddenly there is a lot of free time. So I really had this idea, of by february I will be back to blogging, and doing a lot of quilting. But the month just flew by, and now it’s already the 11th of March.

Flowers for my birthday and Harry Potter Lego,
the perfect additions to my sewingroom.
I just finished writing a blog about my 100 blocks project for the guild and while I was writing my last block over at Dutch MQG, I realised I wanted to write more for myself. So back to blogging here it is. The next few blogs I want to write about project I finished and/or am working on. Here are already some sneakpeeks.

I hope you will follow along with my quilting adventures, enjoy the crafty moments for yourself and with friends.
